Sweatworx is a fusion of intense physical exercise techniques, nutrition education and whole body wellness. We strive to help individuals find the natural balance between mind, body and soul. At Sweatworx, we believe fitness isn’t simply a program, it’s a lifestyle.
I have been involved in sports and fitness throughout my entire life. Growing up in the Midwest, my childhood and adolescence was filled with physical activity, playing a number of sports including soccer, basketball, football, mixed martial arts and cross-country running. Eight years of my early adulthood was spent in the United States Army, learning the principles of exercise and fitness. It also allowed me to participate in numerous fitness events such as ‘The International Four Day Marches Nijmegen‘.
My hobbies include a wide variety of fitness based activities such as weight training, yoga, running, mountain biking and group training. Striving to set new goals and working to attain optimal results, I completed my first marathon early this year.
I’m certified as an elite personal trainer by the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). This certification, along with my training and experience, has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, injury prevention, supplementation and nutrition, and all aspects of resistance training, cardio and endurance training and plyometics.
I have always been very active and outgoing. Growing up I began playing in my first soccer league at the age of 8. The majority of my childhood days were spent running around outside playing games like kickball, football, basketball, and soccer with my family and friends.
I served in the United States Army where I completed eight years of active duty service. While in the military, I engaged in fitness activities such as stretching, calisthenics, and long distance running.
This certification has provided me with a broad spectrum of knowledge in both fitness and nutrition. I have a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, injury prevention, supplementation and nutrition, as well as all aspects of resistance training, cardio and endurance training and plyometics.
